Subscriptions give access to the online courses for one year.
What is included in each online course?
Each course includes comprehensive, high-quality lessons broken down into digestible topics which include interactive quizzes. The quizzes at the end of each topic allow students to check their understanding as they progress through the lessons.
Topic quizzes are interactive, self-marking quizzes that can be attempted multiple times. They include a variety of question types, including:
- Multiple choice
- Fill in the blank
- Labelling
- Sorting
- Matching
Each course contains around 150-200 quiz questions in total.
What’s the difference between a class subscription and an individual subscription?
Class subscriptions are designed for schools who wish to enrol whole classes of students in the online courses. Simply select the number of students in the class when purchasing. Class teachers can be assigned as the group leader so they can monitor the progress of each student.
Individual subscriptions are designed for parents or guardians who wish to purchase subscriptions for a child.
Can students keep track of their progress?
Students can check off topics, quizzes and lessons as they complete them, allowing them to track their progress through the courses.
Teachers who have purchased class subscriptions can monitor the progress of each student in their class, including their quiz scores.
Can the online courses be used with the workbooks?
The online courses are specifically designed to be used in conjunction with the workbooks, but can also be used as stand-alone resources.
The online lessons within each course correspond directly with the individual worksheets within each workbook. These lessons contain all the information required to complete the worksheets (except for Extension Questions and Topics For Further Research).
The quiz questions in the online courses are different to those in the workbooks. The quizzes are simpler as they are designed to be done while a student is encountering information for the first time, whereas the worksheets cover a more in-depth understanding.
Do the online courses cover the Australian Curriculum?
All course content is aligned to the Australian curriculum, covering all Content Descriptions and Elaborations of the Science Understanding strands. See individual store product pages for more information.
Can I trial the courses before paying for subscriptions?
The first lesson in each course is available as a free sample lesson so you can trial the course content before purchasing.
If you are the head of department at your school, you can request a 1 month free trial of all available courses.
